We have been raising French Bulldogs since 2011, and our program has grown around a few principles that we refuse to compromise: health, temperament, structure, responsible breeding, and the way our puppies are raised from the very beginning.

Health Testing Comes First

Thoughtful breeding starts long before puppies are born.

Our French Bulldog parents receive veterinarian-performed physical evaluations of the hips and patellas, BOAS assessment, and targeted DNA screening for Cystinuria Types 2 and 3, HUU, JHC, and CMR1. Health information is considered alongside structure, temperament, pedigree, and the qualities each dog may contribute to a future generation.

Seven Generations of Blue Buddha Bloodlines

One of the things we are most proud of is the continuity within our program.

Blue Buddha represents seven generations of bloodlines developed through years of selective breeding and firsthand knowledge of the dogs behind our puppies. That history gives us something that cannot be created overnight: experience with our own lines and a deeper understanding of the traits we want to preserve and improve.

Every generation teaches us something, and those lessons help guide the next.

Raised in Our Home, Not Just Produced in a Program

Our puppies are family-raised because we believe their earliest experiences matter.

From birth through go-home day, they receive hands-on care, human interaction, exposure to normal household routines, early socialization, and the attention that comes from being raised as part of our everyday lives.

Our puppies are also introduced to litter box training before leaving Blue Buddha, giving their new families an established indoor potty routine to help with the transition into their new home.

Our goal is not simply to send home a beautiful French Bulldog. We want to send home a puppy that has been given a thoughtful beginning.

Families Stay Connected From the Beginning

Waiting for a puppy should be part of the experience—not a period of wondering what is happening behind the scenes.

Blue Buddha families receive photos, videos, and updates as their puppies grow. Our live puppy camera also gives families another opportunity to watch the nursery and experience moments they otherwise might miss.

That connection helps families begin bonding with their puppy before go-home day ever arrives.

Nationwide In-Cabin Puppy Nanny Delivery

Many Blue Buddha families live outside Tennessee.

For families who cannot travel to Knoxville, we offer nationwide in-cabin puppy nanny delivery. Rather than traditional cargo shipping, a trusted nanny accompanies the puppy in the aircraft cabin and provides personal care throughout the journey until the puppy reaches their new family.

It allows us to serve families across the United States while maintaining the level of care we expect for every Blue Buddha puppy.

Our Relationship Does Not End at Go-Home Day

Bringing home a French Bulldog is the beginning of a relationship, not the end of a transaction.

We remain available to Blue Buddha families for guidance and breeder support throughout their Frenchie’s life. Questions will come up. Puppies grow. Families encounter new situations. We want our families to know they can still reach the people who raised their puppy and know the program behind them.

That continuing relationship is an important part of what we call The Blue Buddha Standard.
